Who am I interning for?
This year, I am interning under Aguirre & Severson LLP, civil attorneys. My mentors for this internship are Michael Aguirre and Maria (Mia) Severson.
About the company
On their about page, they state that
"[Their] multinational law firm uses mediation, negotiation and litigation to resolve complex cases for a wide range of plaintiffs, public entities and companies."
In the past, they have tackled a wide variety of cases, centered around a theme of bringing justice to accusing parties through the power of law. They have aided victims of Ponzi schemes, helped represent minority voices in voting rights cases, and defended real estate developers who were harmed by fraud. Currently, they are working on multiple cases, including ones related to nuclear waste, wildfire safety, and seeking to eliminate injustices to people and organizations large and small.
