Feb 6: Keeping In Touch

I don’t know how I’ll continue my internship experience outside of HTHI. It’s been an excellent experience, but junior and senior years involve a lot of work so I don’t know how to maintain these bonds throughout the school year. However, yesterday my mentor Mia Severson mentioned that she wanted to stay in contact with me after internship, and that I should come down for lunch sometime. I was honestly surprised. I had assumed that with the amount of work the head of a large firm does that it would be too difficult to stay in contact with me. I will definitely try to take her up on her offer though, as I haven’t had the chance to spend time with her when we’re not running around in the office. If I do go into a legal field, I also want to maintain contact with my mentors. Some colleges do internships for law students, and it would be really neat if I could come back for that. For externship, I want to try something new though, because a few of my classmates went abroad and that sounds really interesting, but this internship was very good regardless of that.
