Jan 31: Internship and College

In all honesty, I haven’t been worried about which college I’m going to. I’ve always found the devotion to one college a little odd, and I don’t see the point of “discovering colleges” based on their prestige. When it comes time for me to choose where I want to go, I’d choose the schools based on if they offer classes I want to take, and then depending on how close they are and what the campus is like. Don’t get me wrong, I still care about campus and environment, I just think it wouldn’t work for me to devote myself to one college based only on a name.

At the moment, I’m still undecided about what I want to make a career out of. I’d ideally like to do some research into what work environments different jobs will have when I enter the workforce. I know there’s some things I definitely don’t want to do- like be a football coach or a ballet dancer, but I would enjoy a lot of different careers. I’m definitely going to get a degree of some sort, because the state of the working world right now means you have to go to college to succeed professionally. I’d like to work in an environment similar to my internship, which has loose hours and nice people, and security in having a paycheck every week. On the side, I would probably do something artistic and get money through that (I still haven’t given up that webcomic + patreon dream ;u;). But altogether, as long as I have time to draw and paint, and am doing something I find interesting, any job would be nice.
